while washing between the cans and the bodywork at the weekend i found parts of the paint texture paint has / is chipping and falling off. i've certainly not hit anything and there is no damage to the cans is this usual? is it anything to worry about. it directly above the top of the left hand can. can this be covered under warranty? looks shit underneath the car imo.

thanks in advance

I had the same with mine at the rear under the boot/exhaust area and also in the wheel arches. It's not a serious issue, and can be reapplied. I didn't have that done, but I've read of others who have. If you can see it easily, then it's worth sorting out.

Already my Sag is peeling a little in the arches. Some say this is down to bad preparation of the fibreglss before painting - i.e. dust and have had it rectified under warranty. I'll keep an eye on mine.

Gary.

I bought a can of matt black paint from halfords and re-do the arches and bits etc. on my Griffith every couple of years. It's a fact of life...

Goto halfwitts, there is a yellow tin which is waxoil and undercoat mix that you can use under the archs and the rear of the tuscans, its stays sticky for the first 24 hours then just stays flexible. I have used it on the Tuscan and the T350 and for £5 a tin is excellent. Repairs the flaky damage and give a good seal and protective coat that flexis with the fiberglass of the car.

Top stuff, looks ok under the archs and black seals of the car and it very very protective, with the added benefit of flexibilty, so it does not flake an peal off again.

Went into Halfords and got a tin, Hammerite Underbody Seal with added waxoyl,in black tin with yellow writing. Presumme this is the same.
Rear wheel arches flaking badly and also above the two rear cans.
Car is only 9 months old, but my previous Tamora, T350 and Griff all suffered the same. Would have thought this would be a quality issue that could be easily sorted at the factory!
Could take it back i suppose and get it sorted under warranty, but will do it myself.
They do tin and aerosol, Do you prefer brushing it on or do you get a better finish from spraying it on,
