ADVICE NEEDED!!!!!
I have a Tuscan Mk 1 which I have had for 3 months now.
Previously owned a Chim, which I loved, especially the fantastic
sound from the V8 and sports exhaust.
Love the Tuscan but there is something lacking!....'The TVR Roar'!!!
Any one out there who has had different cans fitted to their Tuscan?
If so, please tell!!!!
Have heard that stainless steel is a 'no! no! -- too heavy.

I know exactly how you feel I traded my Chim in for a Tuscan from Gorners nearly a year ago & the only fault I had on the test drive was that it sounded like a washing machine compared to the Chim so I got them to change the cans to carbon cans before I picked it up (I got the s/steel ones as I personally think they look best) & they sound fantastic the roar is back & the pops & bangs on overun are amazing

See link for details & have a listen www.carboncan.co.uk/car-gallery.html
(By the way they often sell these direct on ebay cheaper than on website so may be worth keeping an eye open)

Better still go the meet tomorrow at ponderosa cafe & hear for yourself.

Howard.

alternatively you could de-cat it. it'll make the engine note raspier at tickover, but Carbon cans are unbeatable if you want to set off car alarms in the next street to you!

Spoke to CCC last week regarding cans for my Tuscan 2. They say that their stainless steel cans are actually lighter than the standard factory fitted blue flame cans due to there being no wadding in their units. I'm saving up for a set of coloured titanium cans which match spectraflair paint perfectly.

I to went from a decatted Chim to a Tuscan. I need more NOISE!!!!!

Cheers guys for all the helpful info.
Will take it all onboard...... Carbon Cans it is then.
The only dilema is what colour to choose.

Just replaced my multi-coulored Carbon Cans with the polished stainless ones and there seemed no difference in weight.A few pictures in My Profile

The sound is much better than the standard ones see HERE
