hi all as i am a novice to the tvr tuscan whitch fuel d you use ifilled it up with optimax 98p per liter to see if there was any difference with normal fuel cant see if there what kind of fuel do you us and why

i asked this question at the factory, they told me unless your on a trackday or the weather is very hot, it is not worth the extra money. the standard car is meant to use just normal unleaded. i think on the s you can somehow change the ecu mapping to use optimax with the dash buttons, but i could be wrong having just a standard tusc.

Its normal unleaded for me,the guy I purchased from always used standard unleaded also.

I believe so too. The manual says use 95 unless on a track day (page 13 and again on page 61).

I usually use a mixture of Shell and Tesco in mine. The additional Shell additives SHOULD clean the engine better but the occcasional Tesco's should not affect it too much IMO.

Not that I take any notice or even read the thing..handbook reckons 95ron.

You want bangs and pops ..fill the tank with Tesco 99 and

Used to use nothing but Optimax and then one day, had to fill up with normal 95 octane.
Since then, have stayed with 95 octane with the odd tank of Optimax.
Only difference I have noticed is that with Optimax, there is less "kangarooing" when crawling in traffic.
