My tuscan s is just about ready for new tyres all around now, i think i'm decided on buying toyo r888 as i only really use my car on dry weekends, also going to try and do i track day or two this year.
I'm finding the information on what sizes i should by a bit confusing, my dad (cerbie 4.5) has 255/35/18 on the rear and i have 245/40/18 on mine, which sizes are correct we both has 18'' spiders fitted?

thanx carl

Thanx for the reply, it looks like the previous owner of mine has got the standerd set up of tyres on it rather than the 's'.

Depends on the year of your S early cars had 245/40/18 rears, later (2003??) onwards had 255/35/18`s
Just to confuse matters early "standard" cars ran 35 profile, before changing to 40`s to help with tramlining/ride comfort

Further to that the TVR Web site now quotes 225/35/18 front & 235/40/18 rear. I am going for the 255/35/18 all round on mine.

mines a 2002 's' , do you think 255/35/18 all round would be best suited?

I was at my local dealer today and all the three Tuscans in there had different tire/size combinations. I think the new Tuscans/Tamoras & T350's all now have a similar set-up with regard to suspension, geometry & tire size.

I was quiet un-decided on this as well although I suppose they can be swopped around and according to my dealer can help with tramlining having all tires the same size. Only down side is they are a bit more expensive for Goodyear's although don't know about the Toyo's.

look at Ebay (Search for Toyo 18) and then enter the tyre shops and there is a cracking deal on some TVR Toyos eg 225 35 18 at £75 new.
