Hi all,
Yes another question from me!!!!! My car (X reg) went to TVR Barnet last week re an EFI fault, they diagonsed this as a tuning problem and adjusted the throttle bodies. Whilst there they adujusted the alarm sensitivity for me (Had to remove the centre console for this)
When they started her up they was a knocking noise coming from under the bonnet/possible the centre console. This noise was never there before..........One of the tech said that this sometimes happens when the throttle bodies have been adjusted, he the put it in and put of gear several time whilst stationary and the knocking disappeared. Sometimes when I start her I get this noise and if I put her in gear a few times then it goes. Does anyone have any ideas whats causing this??????? It it common????
The car was serviced just before christmas with no engine probs, and when they started it up at barnet they said the noise was not the dreaded one........plus they had just done the throttle bodies so would have like to think its not the engine.
Any ideas?????????
For info car had full rebuild June 2004 (Not that this counts for anything!!!)

Just reading through my post...spelling is awful!
So her goes again.....
The tech put her in and out of gear and gave a very little bit of gas, then noise then went away.
I have only started her a few times sice having her back and I get the knocking noise but it goes after about 20-30 secs if I put her into gear and out while stationary. I have been leaving the oil temp to reach 70 before even moving her. She also appears to be driving fine - Much much better than before throttle bodies were adjusted.
Just a bit worried now.......not really sure where the noise is coming from. It definately wasnt there before it went to the dealers!!!!! Any ideas???
