This happend to mine last summer after i washed it, i took out the fuse for the fans, left it over nite and replace fuse the next morning, the sticking fan had fixed itself in true tvr style.

If the fan sensor at the back of the engine is disconnected then fan 1 will come on all the time. To find this one its at the back of the head. To get to is you have to remove the airbox which you have.

I would say the they rear sensor needs cleaning (connections) or it has failed. Best get it to your dealer and the fault codes will show what is wrong if the sesnor looks ok and the connections are ok.

I had this problem last year. It was traced to a faulty air con trinary switch. Apparently, when you activate the air con it causes the driver side fan to switch on, and a faulty switch can cause it to stay on permanently.
