Battery help !!!
Discussion
Yeah had to happen. Blonde moment and left my boot open. Battery flat and no I never bothered with the adaptor thingy. Always meant to but never got round to it.Doh!!!!
Anyone local got one ????
If not a trip to dealers I suppose or is it something the RAC can deal with?
Help please.

Hi Di, doh!
Sorry to hear of your woes,
You don't really need the jump cable thingys, I keep mine topped up with an accumate via the ciggy lighter.
I would imagine any trickle charger from Halfwits would do the job as long as it's got a ciggy plug on it.
If you Really Really need a set of Jumpers, I'm up at VW on Sunday I could do a detour on the way home!

Hi Di, Halfords do a simple plug in unit for about 8 quid it has croc clips on it and clips straight on to your battery term extensions under your nearside wheel arch. Watch out that you get them the right way, suggest you ask them for a couple of replacement glass fuses when you purchase just in case.
I was following and adding to your "Year in Life Of" thread last year. Since I wrap my baby up in winter I am still only up to 3700 miles. I have been considering selling, cos now is the time as Spring approaches, but then what would I buy, mmmmmmmm my list is only 3 or 4 cars long.
Anyway sorry for woffling, I think I read somewhere on your last thread that you got your pod sorted. What did they do?
Regards Richie

Hi Richie,
Thanks for reply. I went and got an Accumate which plugs straight into the cigarette lighter (direct battery feed so I am told) and lo and behold battery fully charged and fine after 8 hours. Much easier for me than trying to get at battery connectors.
Re pod :- They changed the front screen in the end a simple but effective fix and I have no problems with seeing the screen now. I guess that finishes any excuses with the BIB re not being able to see the speedo readouts.
Dont sell unless of course you have the readies for an Aston
Cheers
Di
