Just noticed that as soon as the ignition is turned on, my rear lights come on. Turning the lights on or off makes no difference, nor can I see any effect with the brake pedal.

They do tun off when the ignition is turned off.

Anyone come across this before?

Are you sure that it's not the brake lights?

..that would at at least explain the ignition thing. Could just be a poorly adjusted switch. If it's rear lights, I give up.

Yes could be the brake lights. Any idea how to adjust the switch?

If its more difficult than changing a lightbulb, I'll get the experts to sort it. It's booked in for a service with TVR power shortly anyway.

Thanks

Good luck.

As a matter of interest, what year is your car?

It's a 2000 on a W.

It looks as if the rear lights and brake lights are part of the same unit. If the brake light is on, I suppose it is brighter than the rear light. I'll let TVR Power adust it. Oh well something else to add to the needs doing list.

Does it not have a high level brake light?

No it does't. I assumed that it was only the later ones that had the high level light. It would make more sense. Wonder whether a retro fit is possible
