Probably been asked before so i apologies.

I had a 2000 Tuscan for a year or so about two years ago, children came along and Trev had to go. I have to say i have never really got used to life without Trev, i absolutly loved every minute of it.

I am in a fortunate position now that i can now buy another toy but not sure which to go for.

I am not a huge fan of the whole roof off thing as AC does me fine.

What do you think?

Indeedy, the looks of the Sag make it the winner hands down, the tuscan2 is a mish-mash and doesn't gel at all as so often is the case with evolutions of existing designs .. the Sag is stunning

Never has the pleasure of driving a Tuscan, but have now had my Saggy for a couple of months and it has far surpassed my expectations - simply stunning, highly recommended.

However if it’s just down to aesthetics, the Tuscan edges it for me – the sexiest thing on 4 wheels.

I was going to buy a Sag until I followed one down some country roads in my old Chim. Although, on paper, the Sag was much quicker than the Chim the Sag driver had to keep braking so as not to keep grounding it on the bumpy road. There were sparks flying all over the place when the rear wear plate hit the tarmac. I could not live with that so I decided to look at the T2. Following the test drive my mind was made up and I immediatly ordered and specced up the T2. I find the T2 to be a more pleasant ride and the handling is good enough for me. There isn't much difference in the perfomance either although I suspect the sag would beat it hands down on the track.

At the end of the day its down to what you want out of the car. If you prefer a more aggresive drive then go for the Sag. If you like a little more refinement with the added advantage of a bigger boot and a roof that comes off when you want, then go for the T2.

The Sag does look awesome though.

Not exactly scientific I know, but the Sag wasn't massively faster around the Top Gear track though was it?

The Sag for sure. The T2 has been softened too much

If roof on then the Sag as the looks are stunning, tbh I couldn't tell the difference between the two on the road, as they both felt a little soft, then again a Cheiftan Tank would be like a pussycat after the exhiliration of Tuscan 1.

Best Regards,

James Sim.

I part-ex'ed my Tuscan for a Sagaris and have no regrets about having a fixed roof mainly because when it's really hot outside it's too hot with the roof off in the Tuscan.

The Sagaris doesn't rattle and has a much more rigid chassis too.

I had this very quandary a few months ago and eventaully the Tuscan 2 won the day. Partly this was because I use the car everyday and the softer ride, higher clearance and bigger boot seemed more practical, but mostly because I'm not ready for the Saggy's insanly mental looks (yet). I just couldn't handle that much attention all the time. Either way you're in for a helluva ride.

There will be a noticable difference between a 2000 Tuscan and either
a Tuscan MkII or a Sagaris. The Tuscan of course has the roof and boot
thing over the Sagaris. If you go for the S model there's next to no
difference on the track compared with the Sagaris and on the real roads there'll
be no difference unless it is bumpy when the Tuscan will be faster as
the Sagaris grounds out. The Sagaris will get a lot more attention.

Either car is brilliant!

Cheers,

Andy.

I find it hard to believe that now the Sagaris is out people dismiss the T350. The sagarias against the T350t is about 10k difference and the difference is a body kit 30 horses a brake and suspension upgrade.

You get a T350t, upgrade the suspension for 2k and now you have a car thats as quick unless your a number puncher, as grippy, brakes that are as sharp as you will ever need (unless your Mr Mason or Mr Cane) with open top driving and 8k in your pocket.

8k for a body kit that tvr never finished seems an awfull lot of money.
