We get alot of enquiries in this room about potential purchases of Tuscans, used and new. There is a tremendous amount of experience on here but at the same time alot of repetition. What would the PH Tuscan owners and potential owners think about having a sticky thread that either contains the "Buying Guide" that has existed around here for some time, or a link to find it.

My apologies to the chap who maintains the Guide as I cannot remember who it is! But I know that you have assembled a first class objective resource that would go along way in answering many of the more common questions asked on here on a repetitive basis. I for one, if I was in the market for one, would welcome easy access to this information.

What do you all think?

Yep i agree Bryan, there are a lot of "newbies" and potential "newbies" who need advice and unfortunately i tend to "see what mood i`m in" before replying mainly because it takes me 10 Min's to type half a dozen words Does every one know how to access the"Tuscan FAQs" on here? although not brilliant it covers some basics, that would be a start?
Would it help to have a list of long term owners/ex owners who are willing to have there brains picked via the phone if required?
I for one would be prepared to "bore" people to death if required, it beats typing
It`s a shame the TVRCC doesn`t have much "techie stuff" Although Andy has tryed to get the ball rolling on the official site

Great idea ! I have recently bought a second hand Tuscan and a month or so ago I was one of the 'newbies' asking all the questions and gathering the infomation before spending my hard earned beer tokens.
This would make it alot easier for people in the same situation !

I resurrected this thread recently when I was looking for Tom's (TSS) guide.

I reckon it should get a sticky - even if I did only use 5% of the guide when I looked over Tony's car

Hi,

I produced the guide when I was looking for a Tuscan myself. It’s compiled from reading over 15,000(!) messages on the Tuscan Owners Yahoo Group over a period of about 9 months, info gathered from PH, info from other owners and dealers, and of course my own experience of Tuscan ownership.

The guide is currently downloadable from a small grey (almost hidden)link in the very bottom right corner of www.carfurniture.co.uk

I haven’t updated it for a while, but I haven’t come across much that’s really needed adding.

I’m happy for it to be put up as a sticky or perhaps it would be good to upload it to PH somewhere for anybody to download - what do you think Ted?

Thanks Tom! I know you have put in alot of effort and become the patron Saint of Tuscan Purchasers - I hope that if we can catch Ted's attention, or that of a moderator, that we could get something hosted up on the forum. It should interest alot of people and be very valuable in steering people away from a lemon and towards a peach when in the Tuscan market!

Well thanking you kindly Sir.

Just wondering whether it would be possible to post up a clearer link or part/whole of the Buying Guide? I am soooo hard to please you know!

(And what is a sicky? Isn't that a day's paid leave from work where you supposedly stay at home for the day????? )
