Fantastic day, and although I only got out in the Tusc for 2 hrs (marathon training takes time!), 'twas magic to get the temperatures up and the cracks and pops aplenty. Roll on the summer.....

Yep,and me. Only popped out for some lunch but managed a mile or ten. Not keen on the salt on the roads tho. But if our icecream shop is anything to go by summer must be nearly here.

Lovely day for tuscaneering. Roof off rear screen out, and a wooly hat on, with PistonHeads on the front. Spent about an hour with Joanne next to me, drove the A14, A6, the twisty roads through Oundle, Thrapston, then woke up sleepy Twywell. Then a scammera nearly caught us out, hiding behind a large sign of a downhill section (40). Spent the next mile flashing and doing the slow down "gay" hand signal to fellow quicklies.

Came back the same way and drove at 25 miles an our past the van, Joanne have the camera operator a cheeky wave.

With the roof out, when the six warms up, and the metal bits on the exhaust are toasty they sound brilliant. Running in means no big RPM, but I like making it growl! Got back to Kettering, and three lads shouted "nice car", I did shout "thankyou" but I am not sure they would have heard me - Ruddy ace.

Should have given us a shout if you came through Oundle. I would have popped out to play. Although things are not so good this morning. Massive water leak, what I initially thought was a temp sensor problem has turned into 1 big leak. Parked up and a pool of water forming from a rather large drip just in the center of the engine middle of the front wheels. Finger tests confirm loss of coolant. Might be a hose doesnt seem like the rad as it is too far back, but who knows? Booked in for tomorrow so off we go. At least the weather is going to get worse. If that is any consolation..

Had a good drive back to Leeds from Manchester on Sunday, quite a bit of the M62, but a bolted down the A58 towards Saddleworth, then Halifax before getting back onto the M62.

Love hearing the SP6 at high revs

Yes us to,
Roof off glorious day lots of ice cream vans out in the lay-byes along the Five mile road, had an awful mess on the passengers seat though, I'm a bit rusty on the speed thing since the departure of the good weather last year, and it showed when overtaking a hire car.
I pulled out and floored it going up this hill, my God it rocketed with a bend approaching fast before I pulled back in, I tried to put it over that I was in control all the time, but I can tell you I was trembling a bit, you just forget how much power this thing has especially since it was serviced in December.
I think I will tie a wooden block to the back of the pedal till I learn to drive properly again.

Best Regards,

James Sim.

Not to worry Justin. Drop us a mail next time you plan to visit the area. I've got a courtesy car at the moment. Mine is in the shop. Not sure if it is a bust hose or rad, they are going to look at it, as well as replace the gearstick gaitor oil pressure sensor, minor diff leak, heater stepper motor and readjust the drivers door. I dont know when I will get it back, however what with this weather I guess it is good that it is in the shop now.

Cheers
