Another Battery Question
Discussion
So who had a flat battery on Saturday
Never mind, thinks I. I have a cunning plan.
I pitch up in the Eurobox, remove the HT leads (special connector jobbies) from their pristine pouch and connect up to the Tuscan.....
....er.....
...oh BV£$3R!!! They're not long enough
Anyway, got going OK - but a heads up to anyone:
1 make sure you have jump leads
2 make sure you don't lock them in the car
3 be aware that they're not very long. OK if you can draw a vehicle right alongside and the battery is on the side, but in an Audi, for example, the battery is right in the middle under the screen!
Oh - and does anyone know where I can get a really good quality set of leads to use as extensions, and have any bright ideas about a neat way to keep them insulated at the "join"?

Maybe they'd be a bit longer if you used Jump Leads instead of HT leads?
Seriously though.....have a word with the good folk at Leven Tech. (www.leventechnology.co.uk/index.htm).
I'm sure they could knock you up an extension or even modify the originals....they have the cables / connectors to do a pucker job there and then to whatever length you require.
Very helpful people indeed!
