OK guys this is the problem,

The alarm works from my key fob both on and off with no problems. I turn the key and the pod oil light etc all come on fine. But when I ress the keyfob the ignition light does not come on.

I can start the car by putting the alrm dongle into the slot on the dash and the ignition light then comes on, so am still on the road but its getting annoying.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Big Al.

He may be able to sort your problem over the phone! It may be a common fault that he comes across on a regular basis.

i have the same problem, the alarm worked fine but cannot get the immobiliser to kick in the fuel pump, sometimes it works and other times nothing at all,its was not working from the dash slot either, sometimes i had to turn the ignition on and off lots of times until the pump primed, its at austec at the mo and paul said its a common fault usually from the wires getting hot in the alarm box and possibly melting the solder,an easy fix if thats the case, not saying thats the prob with urs but just a thought
