Interested to know more about the Ohlins. Where from, how much, dampers only or springs and dampers, general feedback about performance. I've experienced Nitrons and they seem very good but spring stiffness makes a big difference to ride quality on road.
Indeed, I'm running 750 front and 600 rear on my S and it's just getting to the point where I think 20k miles a year might be too much

I have Ohlins 2-way adjustables all around on my Tuscan 2S fitted by Aurok at www.aurok.com which work a treat for around £2k fully fitted. Road holding as well as comfort are in a different league from the original setup whereas you get to scare all the Porkers (yes, that includes the GT3 RSs on the track. Aurok do the proper realignment for toe-in, camber and corner weighting and they are true motorsport cognoscenti. Highly recommended
I had NTR 2 way dampers fitted last year and have found that the Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres let go first on track when there is so much more. I am having fitted R888 for cadwell (hope weather is dry) which should now complement the dampers. With regards to comfort i will be driving the t350 to cadwell to try and get the tyres scrubbed up and get around 500miles on them, by the time i get there i will probably have no teeth, i guess the only way to compare it is doing 50mph in a steam roller whilst being chucked around like a midget in an industrial washing machine.
So anybody who states that tvr's are a GT car need a reality check.
GT in the TVR code book stands for

Don't really understand your post Yi8tvr .. are you saying your car shakes you to bits? If so have a word with whoever did your set-up .. even on race type stiffness springs my car is bearable on road
Brian at Top Cats done the work so no problem with set up in fact its excellent. The problem is you need roads that are not like the moonscape to drive it on. Pot hole dodging and tarmac delaminating seem to be the norm around my way. Seems road maintanance is way down on the council list.

so wouldn't a more compliant set up work better for road use?
my local roads are poor too,so im having new suspension on mine.
mike.
Im not clever enough mike to adjust the dampers myself for road and track use. I usally tow my car to track days but will drive up to cadwell to help get the tyres scrubed up. IMO some people change there dampers but dont actually know what for. I changed mine for track use as the original dampers hit the bump stops, tyres rubbing on the arches when cornering and the car rolled when cornering but worst of all was the nose diving on breaking which unbalanced the weight transfer leading to the rear wanting to meet the front. So as you can see i cant have the cake and eat it. Track or Road
