The factory is not letting anyone drive the demonstrator as it is so badly built and has the wrong engine in it. It is really only for show and would give a bad impression to a potential buyer.
Runours are that the first cars will be delivered from about March onwards, which probably means at the end of next summer.
I was going to order one, but to be honest I think an Ultima or a Stealth would be a better bet (less to go wrong).
The factory want to control the work that is done on any TuscanR, so I would have thought for every day one is driven on the road it will go back to the factory for 2 weeks ;o)
Cheeky comment I know, but when I actually work out the time my tuscan has spent back at the dealer or factory, it works out that a higher percentage has been spent 'off the road' than on.
Still they are great cars, we cant deny that.
Hmm. you can tell Im bored this morning.

Fernhurst had the same car for a couple of days after goodwood festival of speed. Aparently they had strict instructions from the factory not to take any customers out in it. The build quality was v.bad but it is only a prototype I suppose. The engine kicked out around 500BHP and went v.well.
Interestingly they had thicker tyres on the 18" wheels (as used on tuscan), rather than the standard skinny ones.
The front spoiler is awesome in the flesh. Front headlights are the bees knees too, they will hopefully remove the rivets for the final versiosn.

quote:"as it is so badly built". The purple car had to be built in a rush to have a "road registered" version of the race car available as part of the Powertour regulations. It may not be representative therefore of a production version... Charles

quote:The cost fo the new Tuscan light pods with faired in polycarbonate covers and new smaller clear indicators will be similar to the current pricing of the light kits with an increase to cover the extra costs of the covers and indicators. Also on the Tuscan there will be the much cheaper option of the kit without the main and dipped beams, i.e., just the pods, covers and indicators, with the original headlights and bezels being used again. We have always offered the option of Xenon dipped beams. You can upgrade your existing Tuscan dipped beams to these now. 19inch wheels are possible but all wheel upgrades for a road car have to be a compromise; bigger wheels mean a higher unsprung weight, generally harsher ride, more likelyhood of rim distortion in potholes; against more precise control of the suspension of the vehicle, better handling etc. I don't particularrly care for the 'spider' wheels and they really do have a drastic effect on turning circles of Cerberas. Got an estimated cost for your new tasty mods? Is there any chance of xenon beams on dipped beam rather than main beam? Anyone thought of 19" wheels on a Tuscan or will that totally bugger up proceedings?
