Reverse light advice please
Discussion
The switch that operates the reverse light is on the gear stick itself. If you take off the gearstick surround by lifting off the centre console and then removing the gearstick and handbrake leather covers, you may need to undo the grub screwes on the handbrake, you can then see the switch mechanism and see if it is working correctly. If it is not working correctly a simple and gentle bend into position can help. Hope this is of some use.

I've had mine adjusted by my dealer when I was getting the reverse light come on when I was selecting 4th! must have looked really weird from behind as I don’t normally use 4th below a ton
... apparently it’s a flimsy set-up that bends or comes loose... that's what they told me…
Not just a TVR trait, either - I remember chasing Burriana's 'rari 348 around mountain hairpins at break-neck speeds only to see his reverse light come on mid-hairpin... serious brown-trouser moment! Same problem of the switch being on/around the stick.

What’s embarrassing is, I only spotted it one dark night on a long drive home, out in the countryside, I couldn’t work out why I was seeing what was surprisingly bright white flash of light behind me when nobody was there…! slightly paranoid, I worked out that it was flashing only when I snatching into 4th, it must have been like that for weeks, if not months…!!

Ahh panic over - it just started working flawlessly again - bizzare no action required
Arrr yes the TVR satellite updating system must have been down
its amazing when they go wrong and you think bugger but then start working again with a permanent fix a few days later
Guess these cars are more advance than we think
