Oil volume

Hi all,

did my first trackday at SPA (monsterspa) and checked the oil level.

Questions:"how much liter oil equals with the min/max sign?"
Total amount is 8L I believe.

Just had my 6k service this week, incorporating complete oil change and the invoice showed 7litres used - dipstick now shows max so your 8li estimation not too far out.

Total system capacity is around 11 Litres, although on an oil change you can only drain out about six litres. The ammount from min to max on the dipstick is about one litre.

Any news of your new car yet in these uncertain TVR-times?
Where did you ordered it? Belgian Dealer?

Are you going as a visitor to Zolder?

Are you sure about this oil change figure/engine capacity. To not change all the oil in a service is very little better than not changing at all. The contaminates in the old oil very quickly bring the new oil down to same level, after 3 or 4 changes this would be a serious problem! Think i'll check my manual...



Hmm, Having checked..Capacity is given as 6 litres.
12k service charged for..Oil.. 6 litres.

Hi Koen

Quiet often when mine came back from a service the oil would be overfilled, as they have a dry sump it's not really a problem.

Car should arrive at Gatwick TVR sometime around 19th June,which is a couple of weeks behind schedule so I will not make it to Zolder.
