Early Tuscans advice.
Discussion
A mate of mine has the chance of buying an early Tuscan on an X plate. The car had a bit of damage on the front but he,s a panel beater and sprayer so thats not a problem. The cars immaculate apart from the damage with full service history and a factory rebuild in 04.What he wants to know, with the rebuild being only a couple of years ago have all the engine issues been sorted or is it an inherrant problem that could still crop up.Is there any way of telling if the engine is going to let go again i.e change in engine note etc. Thanks for any advice given. Mark
I would post this on the Speed Six forum rather than here.
But to answer your post, there is no concrete answer to that - "it depends". You would hope that the engine would be OK after the rebuild and it would not put me off buying it the car - the body work damage would be more of an issue for me knowing that it had been pranged. That a personal answer - and really all you can hope you can get on here as it is all down to personal opinions and experience. There are no definitives but you would expect that a recent rebuild would expose you to less risk.
