hi all !

finally got mi tuscan a couple of weeks ago !!

got round to the 10 hours clean job this weekend and have added a pic!

couple of small questions you might be able to help with !

if noticed that sometimes after parking, that the radiator fans seem to stay on for ages and ages....is this normal ??

and sometimes the alarm blips and flashes when i arm it but most times it just flashes ! regardless of the 2 or 4 second thingy )

oooo..and finally...what can i clean the back window with ?? i tried normal cleaner and it created loads of static !

no reals probs to report.....what an awesome car ))))))))))

Provided both fans are cutting in (which they should in this weather) then thats the most important thing.

I think if any of the circuits are still open then it beeps. So that means if the inside light hasn't gone out yet then it might flash. I always leave mine 5 secs before arming and it never beeps that way.

Well done Paul,
They turn heads everywhere, they are the lovliest cars on this planet, no matter where you go people admire them, and when can anybody say that in the recent past about British sports cars? Lotus excluded.

Best regards,

James Sim.

Nice motor mate

The fans staying on is usually due to a couple of sticking fan relays (one relay for each). The relay capacity is a little too low for the motors and the relays can overheat. Over time this causes the relay contacts to deteriorate and sometimes stick closed. It's a 2 second job to swap them for new ones. You'll find them located on the fuse box under the steering column. In the meantime a gentle tap on them should see them switch off.

P.S Welcome to the fold

Glad I could be of assistance. You'd have had a flat battery and some angry neighbors by now without.

Now you just need to whip the two relays's out and get some replacements (it's only going to get worse).....Halfrauds or any good automotive parts supplier should be able to help you there. The Handbook shows the location of the relays.

CCC's....you won't look back....much popping, banging and evil cackling will be done!

thanks dave, what specifically do i need to ask for at the shop ?
or do you think its easier to take the old ones out when i get there and ask for '2 of them please' i take it they're identical ??

when tapping away randomly at my fuse panel last nite i noticed a small lead with a connector on the end just hanging about...any idea what that is ??? cheers again !

Best off just taking one out when you get there and asking for 2 new ones the same.

The stray lead you're referring to is the diagnostics connector for the engine ECU so nothing to worry about. If it was anything else then it'd be obvious as something in/on the the vehicle wouldn't be working.
