Oil pipe blocked

Dropped my tuscan s into the dealers last week to have a N/S engine mount changed (cracked) and a new Oil Pressure sensor fitted (old one leaking). Picked it up the next day and all fine on the trip home, however later that night I started it up to find 0psi Oil Pressure. Damn I thought, they've fitted a duff sensor. But rather than take a chance I had the car trailered back to the dealers to investigate. After much head scratching it was discovered that the feed into the sensor had become blocked with bits of silicon and PTFE tape. Any one else had anything like this?
What worrys me is if this Cr@p is floating round my engine, what happens if an oilway in the engine gets blocked, how can I tell before it all goes bang?

Had the same problem on one of my bikes,someone had changed the clutch casing and filled oilway to head,BANG!! at 2a.m. miles from home.
The way to clear some of it is an oil and filter change and flush,even then you wont get it all out,just the loose bits,or strip and rebuild!!!!.
The oil pressure sensor feed is probably one of the smalest oilways in the engine and as such is likely to get blocked first.
there seems too much of this stuff squirted about by mechanics now,just a small smear suffices!.
use RTV silicone it tends to stay together better,or Wellseal, fantastic stuff.

Had exactly the same problem, with the same debris and tape inside the pipe, had to flatbed the car back, thinking great sold a dud sender, (but erring on the side of caution) now I'll have to wait another week whilst they send another one out to me here in Australia. Put the old one in to make sure it was the sender that was faulty and found there was pressure so after cleaning the "new" one, re installed with no problems. Just what you want really..... a bill for the tow truck and more bills for the removal, refit old, test new, refit new...but worth it in the end....now just when will the end be.
