I'm suffering from the usual pod trouble. It seems to be a loose connection because the display has a mind of its own. If I was to remove the steering wheel would I be able to see the wiring and possibly fix the problem. Has anyone tried this??

Hi Funny you should mention this!

I have taken my covers off to remove the steering wheel, but its bloody tight! and I am puzzled how to proceed further without damaging the wheel itself? must be a proper puller to do it! I have tried with a two leg, no joy.

I might have to grind one of my allen keys and take the steering wheel off from behind!

I too have wipe outs on my screen which I think is dry joints as well. However There is more then one board, think 4 actually which all interlock. So there is so many joints and connections which could cause the display faults?

Let me know if you get yr wheel off!

Just undo the central nut and give the column a firm whack with an ally bar or similar.
You have to shock it off the tapered splines.

I tried a puller and all it does is bend the flimsy boss.

In this case smash really is the best way.....

Maybe worth leaving the nut on a couple of turns to stop th wheel flying off when it does let go.

That's ma boy!
Just be sure you whack it with something softer than the column.

Mine only took a couple of firm 'taps' after I was sure it was stuck forever......
