I'm looking to change my car from my Chimaera which I've owned over 3 years now.... The short list is...
Tamora
Tuscan (find 1 with a recent engine re-build)
Grif 5.0 (would love a final 100 car but are these over priced?)
Last of the Chimaeras with the enclosed headlights (4.5 or 5.0)
The Chimaera seems to be the best value and still love the shape. Worry though that I will want a change in shape soon if I buy another.
Tamora seems to be great value but worried about the Speed 6 engine. Can get a newer car than a Tuscan for my money.
The Tuscans seem to be getting good value now if I can find 1 with a recent engine re-build.
The Grif's (last 100 made) are a true classic but I worry that they're over priced.
Any opinios would be appreciated.
Cheers
Phil

I recently changed from a late model Chim (with the enclosed headlamps) to a Tusc S. Tried a Tamora, but it didn't feel quick enough to warrant the change. Plus we have got very used to the large boot on the Chim for continental trips. Why do you want to change from your Chim if you're considering a newer version?
The Tuscan is a very different driving experience. Try and work out what you want from your next car, what you want to improve on from your current car (if anything) and that should help your decision making...

the tamora if working properly is seriously quick, and can easily keep up with the tuscan, even and 'S'. Maybe there was a problem with the one you drove? In my recent experience I found the Tuscan 'targa' to be just as enjoyable with the roof off as the Tamora I had for a while. ie it feels like a proper convertible, to my surprise.
The speed 6 cars are a culture shock after an RV8, the quick driving technique is exactly the opposite - all revs no chugging bottom end and will labour low down in the rev range. Get them to rev though and they are massively exciting. A lot of people don't like them because they drive them like they would an RV8, short shifting and lugging around in a high gear, and they wonder what the fuss is about. They also miss out on the noise. The RV8's burble is always there. You have to wake the S6 up with a stick and then hear it roar!
Isn't the fun trying all the cars out? It's a great time to buy too. Let us know what you went for.
