Boot gas strut

Can somebody give me a measurement of the length of the black body part of their gas strut?

Ive got an 8 incher (212mm to be precise)

Think its the wrong part, too big.

Hi,

I have just measured the strut on my 2001 MKI Tuscan and the barrel is 140mm long and 220mm long when extended (measured from the end of one ball-joint to the end of the other ball-joint).

Mine is definately too long! Part no. looks similar, made by same company in Lecister but longer. Must be off different Tiv!
