So last year I purchased a Corvette C5, it seemed like the sensible thing to do(!) when compared to the Tuscan, but even now I still find myself looking at pics of Tuscans. I am used to driving Rear Wheel Drive monsters (previous car was a Mazda RX7) but now find i'm only driving 5k miles a year so and wondering if I made the right decision. The overriding factor for me was the reliability where i feel the corvette wins out, but those looks....

I think that my car (99 Manual Coupe) is worth a similar amount to a Tuscan, just wondered if anyone here had experience of both amd would like to share their opinions...

Thanks
Pete

Hi,

I have driven many powerful rear wheel and front wheel drive cars over the years. But without doubt, the most fun and exhilerating car I have ever driven iS the Tuscan. So responsive and predictable.

Never driven a Corvette though but I bet it feels quite safe and secure. A TVR is a raw racer. No ABS, Airbags, Traction Control, nothing. Very exciting!!

Get rid of the American crap and buy British.

Hope that helps.

I have a C6 Z06 and a Tuscan (which is for sale although I've been having second thoughts!

Very different cars. The Z06 is incredibly accomplished but the Tuscan does give me great grins and is so chuckable if that's what you like. I had been treating it with kid gloves for a couple of years but taking people out on test rides reminds me how huge fun it can be!

And yes, it's gorgeous.

e-mail me if you want to discuss both cars further.
