Trickle charger cable route
Discussion
I am buying a trickle charger with the cigarette lighter adaptor (Purely as a preventative measure).
I've
loads of threads on trickle chargers regarding which ones, how much, where from but none of them seem to state the best way of getting the cable in to the car with the car locked, windows up and alarmed.
Am i wrong in assuming that the charger can be connected with the car in this state?
Does the car have to be left un-alarmed?
Please excuse the green as grass nature of the question.
But needs must.
Thanks in advance.

I had thought about it but seen as i've only just bought the car and then insurance and it is
after all, including the charger (which is an accumate) i've had a LOT of expense and was looking to try and just get through this winter without spending much more.
If there is not a simple solution then the leven adaptor may be the only route.

use the trickle charger with the cigarette lighter adapter and run the cable out the top of the door window it will simply squeeze into the seals a bit when the window closes causing no damage. Much easier than grovelling around under the car to connect to the anderson connection.
That works fine for me, too.
Agree with Whitey and Kippax. Get an Accumate with extension lead and ciggie fitting. I run the cable in by the door hinge and no probs whatsoever
Just started my Tuscan after being laid up for 3 months and it fired up first time. Accumates have never let me down in 5 years of TVR driving. Bought mine from Leven Technology...excellent service.
