Cheapest TVR running costs in 13 years of ownership
Discussion
I haven't posted in a while, but thought I'd share something positive.
I've had a V8S, a Griff 500, and 2 Tuscans, all bought & serviced at Fernhurst. The first Tuscan was an early one, bought new, Sep 2000X, and I had it for about 5.5years, and to be honest it was pretty unreliable - 3 rebuilds & assorted other bits & pieces.
But I've had my 2nd Tuscan (an 02-reg S) for a year now, and have just got it serviced & re-MOT'd. I realised that in the last year, over about 5k miles (from 11k to 16k), it's had no real problems at all. Two rear tyres, a broken windscreen wiper connecting arm (which I'd knackered myself by accidentally holding the wiper mid-wipe), and a dodgy water temp sensor. Fernies' bill for the service & a few minor bits like sorting the tracking & a new sensor was £670 inc VAT.
I know I'm tempting fate here, but I reckon that's the cheapest year of TVR-dom I've had. I'm pretty chuffed, to be honest.

Had my 02 Tuscan for over 2 years & took it from 9k miles to 22k. Apart from the services (£450 each from Torque RVT) replacement digital pod display (£100.00) & 1 set of front brake pads I haven't needed anything either (Stereo doesn't count) I'm even still on the same tyres (I must be driving too slow!
