Any one got an ipod hooked up?

how have you done it?
not sure an itrip will work very well, and still working out were to hide the cables for a phono lead and switch

I have a new nano 8gb with a transmitter and its cracking. 100 albums at my fingertips

I tried the itrip and it was rubbish in the Tuscan but OK in my daily runaround. So I bought a new Alpine stereo with ipod connection which is the dogs plums. It controls all the ipod functions through the fascia.

Done the same as tcant, its spot on, altho not so sure about the alpines controls on the 9853R, theyre a bit dodgy. now theres loads of hifi's that are ipod compatible starting at around £100 in halfords, you can plug your ipod in to try them out too, tops!! altho i havent tried it yet, tomtom also do a connection so it comes thru your stereo, so u can combine your tomtom with your hifi and ipod, and music goes off when insdtructions are read out and u have bluetooth in a tomtom too, so your phones in it too, everythings portable and all incorporated in one!

I've got a transmitter, works great, loads of music to hand for those long roundabout journeys you just have to make in your P&J to fetch anything from the local shop

£16.99 for a tranmitter and a car charger, so will try that before buying a sony/pioneer (one is from the old car) ipod interface for £60/£70!

does anyone know if the interfaces let you still use the multichanger in the boot?

On the old Alpine I got, the lead to connect the interface to the stereo uses the cd changer lead, so no, but it may be different on other makes...on the newer ipod car stereos they dont even need an interface.
Why do u want your cd changer anyway!!?? i took mine straight out, loads more room in the boot!

first check the pioneer head unit. Pioneer sell an ibus type connector to go in the back to connect to CD multichanger and also their is an interface for IPOD.

Think it costs about £60 but don't hold me to that.

I've done this too - works a treat - need to hide a few bits and wires though.

I have fitted a Sony stereo in mine with bluetooth so I
can play my mp3's from my phone (4gb) then when the phone
rings it cuts the stereo then returns to music after call.
Dont even have to take the phone out of your pocket.
