What you need is a copy of the Tuscan buyers guide, drop ballistic banana a mail he's got a copy.
I would send you one myself but I'm in Cape Town at the moment and not on my UK PC.
STOP PRESS!
However there might be a way around it. Drop me a mail anyway I may have a copy in my sent mails. In fact I'm sure I have.

A good service history is essential. If you can find out who has been looking after the car, get in contact with them and have a chat.....most garages will give you an accurate account of what the car has had done etc.
If the car has done circa 20k miles it will no doubt need a new clutch (circa £1k).
Take the plunge......best fun you will have!

Not sure if you have bought yours yet but try and source one that has had a post 2003 rebuild by TVR Power. Engines after this time are much more robust.
,I agree, but would be inclined to say 2005 or later rebuild...or alternatively buy one without and discount what you pay accordingly. I bought a 2001 Tuscan without rebuild and have had 22,000 trouble free miles...I'm happy to admit the engine could be living on borrowed time, but I still have my slush fund ready for the rebuild / V8 or M3 transplant. As for other things, factor in the cost of a front end respray, brakes, wheel refurbishing, new rear screen, damned good clean etc...all things that mine would need if I was selling!
Also look for a clutch replacement within the last 10k miles to be fairly safe of getting another 10k out of it.
