Changing Side Light Bulbs
Discussion
Hi Just a quick, nerdy question really.
I have to change the bulb on the front sidelights on the Tuscan 1. Now Ive never taken the upper part of the bonnet off as yet and want to be sure that I mange it OK.
Does anyone have any tips and advice on removing the uppoer bonnet to minimise disruption (I'm assuming that I cant change the bulbs without doing so?)
There are four 13mm bolts to undo to pressers and then lift the bonnet forward over the centrally located catch, needs two people.
Am I going along the right tracks?

You are on the right track, the side lights are only accessible by removing the main bonnet and the inner wing cover held on by three Tourx type screws. There are also two rear slide ball/socket catches at the back of the main bonnet which also have to be released to allow you to lift the bonnet.
The 2 catches at the top end of the bonnet (close to the windscreen) are spring loaded. Squeeze your fingers in the gap. Press in the retainer and lift the edge of the bonnet clear.
I originally thought the clips were like the hinged service part of the bonnet ie pop-in, pop-out. I nearly pulled the dam thing clean off.
When you put the bonnet back on make sure you are centered at the top and the bottom or it will rub the paint off (all be it in places you can't see - but nonetheless)
Hope it helps
