Im looking at getting the bonnet, inspection bonnet and cheese grater plus front wings resprayed. The guy I know at the body shop has quote around £1000 for the job. It seems a good price and I know the work he does is very good. Just he wants to know if its possible to remove the outer wings to respray them. Does anyone know how to do this?

Door mirrors are v easy to remove and paint, dont even need to take door card off - which is good!

As for lights, masking along the line of the light apertures would be tricky and not ideal. If it were mine i would be removing them as carefully as poss!

The wings, i would think, would be painted up to the sharp line before they cut back in for the door, then faded out into the sills.
