I've had the problem, was after my speedo sensor was replaced.

Acted up a bit a couple of times by "falling below zero" and reading about 20-24mph down. However, it righted itself on its own when left for an hour or two turned off and has decided to behave since (about 2000 miles ago)!

(Speedo sensor had (by all accounts a previous main dealer involvement) been bodged back together with a bit of tape and had been through a spell of trying to read 180mph when standing still.)

Yes, should have pointed this out. The initial speedo problem I had was sensor related, both needle and digital affected. But, in the later issue, the digital (IIRC) stayed working while the needle had it's (short-term) fit! Hope this helps?

When I go over 100mph my Speedo needle goes vary erratic and doesn't sort its out until I come to a complete stand still. When it goes, it can display 35mph while crawling in 1st at approx 10 mph.

Any ideas?
