The drivers door window started playing up on my car so that it doesn't go all the way back up when I set the alarm. After taking off the door panel and door skin I found the culprit - one of the wires has corroded such that the window controller doesn't know what the window is doing.

I believe all I need to do is get a new connector and it'll all be fine again. The problem is, I don't know what this connector is called or where to buy from - I've already tried trawling through RS Components and Maplin websites to no avail.

Any ideas where I can get one or what it's called?
Thanks, Phil

Why not just get any 3 pin connector, cut the exsiting wires and connect up to the new plug, or even use bullet connectors, both should be avalible from any electrical supliers.

Have you tried cleaning the old connector? Scrape the worst of the corrosion off and a quick squirt of wd40.

It's not the connector that's corroded, it's the wire going into the back of it that's corroded itself away such that it is no longer connected.

Neil at TVR car parts got me one, but charged about £5, the other way is to get any 3 pin connector from maplins / electrical shop for about 50p

You just need something similar to RS part no 300-3620 (stick that in the rs search box on rswww.com)

Note how the contact has two tangs. You need to push these back to release the actual contact and then just crimp a new one on and push it back in the block. Bit of an arse to get them out without the correct extraction tool but it can be done with a precision screwdriver if you have the patience.
