any idea how much G Force is generated under maximum acceleration in a Tuscan. The question was asked of me the other day - I had no idea but would be interested to know.

If a Tuscan can do 0-60MPH in 3.9 seconds

We need to know 60MPH in metres / second =

We know there are 1609 metres in a mile so 60*1609 = 96450 metres per hour

And metres per second = 96450 /60 /60 = 26.8166m/s

Equations of speed say :
v = u + at

where :
v = final speed
u = initial spped
a = acceleration
t = time

so:

26.8166666= 0 + a * 3.9

Or

26.81666 / 3.9 = a = 6.876 m/s/s

We also know 1G = 9.81m/s/s

So at 6.876 m/s/s the G force on acceleration of a tuscan from 0-60 is 6.876/9.81 = 0.7G

(This assumes the acceleration is constant and in practice it is not – but it is not going to be too far off)

A good demonstration of the G-force created by a Tuscan under acceleration is shown in This Video
