hi all,

think the hazard light button on my mk1 pod has broken (i.e the button doesnt press in and out).

does anybody know if this is an easy fix or has anybody had one fixed ??

Its not that easy to fix, i'm afraid.
Mine was not working and i fixed it when i did the lcd pod display replacement.
I had to take the whole pod out and the steering wheel off. You will then find the switch mounted onto a small circuit board that also controls the push button input to the pod computer (the one that scrolls through the screens.)

This circuit board is connected to the pod via a 7 core ribbon cable that you will have had to unplug to get the pod out.

The problem with mine was a torn ribbon cable which i was able to get soldered locally. This was a good thing, because i couldn't find anywhere that sold a replacement board. You see, the board, two swithches and cable are all one part.

Its the same on the other side of the dash, the fog switch and light switch are on another little board that connects to the other side of the pod via another 7 core ribbon cable.

Hope this makes sense. Someone else may be able to tell you where to get the replacement part.

many thanks for your reply! no suprise that i also need to replace the lcd

im thinking i mite give the chaps at leven a call, who can replace the lcd, and may be able to fix the hazard light at the same time..for a small fee

the guide on the other thread is very good....im sure id find a way to make a hash of it tho
