how often should i have the tappets checked, ?????and should it only be with a tvr garage???

Every two years or 12K miles is the recomended interval.TVR dealers or indies can do them as long as they can get the correct shims.

I check mine more often as it's a good (early) indication of something going wrong (like streched valve stems) etc.

'indies' is short for Independant garages, that's ones who arn't 'official TVR dealers, but who have the suitable experience to work on these cars, some offer much better value that the dealer network, but only if the quality of service is satisfactory! it's always worth going on local recomendations from owners...
