Buying a Tuscan S with 2nd gear stuffed

Anyone know this car or have experience to share?
I'm a Brit based in Australia, so I cant pop into the dealer and check it out! Tempted to buy this and repair the gearbox. I presume its a T5?
What's your thoughts on a 2001 car, 50k miles TVRSH, but WITHOUT the engine rebuild? Risky?

TVR TUSCAN S, 4.0 Manual Convertible, 2001Y.
Y2 JOC, 49400 miles, Reflex Charcoal with Biscuit full hide interior, cranberry wool carpets piped in biscuit hide, Fitted with air con, 18 inch spider alloys, ali pack, armour fend, 6 stack CD and rear speakers. This car has a full TVR service history , it requires a gearbox repair to the 2nd speed gear and has never had an engine rebuild. This is a factory S spec car that has not been accident damaged.
