too cheap?

i'm sure you have noticed on the classifieds the tusc for 13495, having read most of the threads over the past few eeks it does worry me that a larger than norm slush fund is req'd. having had a cerb 4.2(cost a fortune) and a griff 500 i wouls like a tuscan but... i am feeling a griff or chim may be best bet but now looking a little dated. i would app any input

I dont think there is such a thing as too cheap! I've had a quick look at the classifieds and I think you are talking about the silver 2000 one? If so it has had a brand new engine 800 miles ago, so I dont think you can go too far wrong.

That said the ad does mention that the car has previously been damaged (now repaired) so perhaps it's cat D? Why dont you call the guy and ask him why its so cheap. Maybe he wants a quick sale.

If you get it checked out by Rob Ingleby or similar then again, that would give you comfort that the car is sound.

I'm currently selling my Tuscan 'S' for a price that some may say is 'too cheap' but the reality is I'm getting divorced, need the cash quick and the car has some slight damage at the front where I hit some road kill. Everyone has different motivations.

Good luck if you buy it, it does look like a bargain!

There are a lot of Tuscans that are too cheap. Sometimes when people need the money quickly they are literally giving them away and it is driving the price down for everyone. Good news for buyers but very bad news for sellers. Ours is for sale at what we consider to be a sensible price for a well looked after car that is virtually as new. It is not cheap but we are certainly not going to let it go for stupid money.
