Hi are there any after market 18inch alloys that will fit a tuscan? how much are the spider alloy each? does anyone know?

i keep hearing about the sp6 needing an engine rebuild, what are the tell tell signs of this and what will it cost to have this carried out at a TVR specialist. is this a job that a compatent mechanic would be able to do.

one last questions i have a 2001 (y) i've read somewhere that there were some changes on this reg, does anyone know what these might be.

thanks matt (new tuscan owner)

Matt,

There are 4 Spiders up for grabs on ebay at present. There are a few folk whom have changed their wheels, but personnaly I prefer the spiders.

Engine rebuild....do it when and if you need to. Costs ranges, depending on what spec you want to go for. Some not all it would seem, had issues with the bottom end as well as the top end. A full engine rebuild can be done by a specialist for around 6K + the dreaded VAT. This offers an improvement on the standard build and fixes the top end issues. Pop over to the Speed 6 engine forum and do a search..... you may want to pour yourself a stiff drink and sit down before you search......

Good luck

Hi Matt,
For information, depending where you go, you will get one to two years warrantee on a full engine rebuild.
While if you only have the top end, then there is no warrantee.
I know that I am glad I had the full job.
