I'm thinking of buying a Tuscan but a little worried and concerned about the reliability issues.
Is this issue made more of by people??

my o my: we're not trying to be rational about this, are we? If you really want to know about reliability, I suggest a call to the AA. Everybody on this forum is either nuts about their Tuscan or has gone nuts over it. Kinda binary, me thinks

Please not another. Tuscan's are reliable!! I've had one for 18 months and only had 1 problem (and that didn't leave me stranded, I drove it home)

If you think that they're unreliable, don't buy one, get a nice reliable car, perhaps a Supra?

Sorry if that seems flippant, but we get the same question asked so many times it starts to get boring!

Good luck if you join the dark side.

to be honest, if you buy a lemon of a vauxhall you will be tearing your hair out over reliability, likewise you buy a lemon of a tvr you will do the same (although the repairs will cost more).

Do some research, look at lots of cars, or use one of the very highly regarded "sourcing agents" (for want of a better description) who will find you a cracking car to your spec for a fee.

get one that has all the history, a wedge of receipts and had been well cared for. (dont expect to pay £12.5k for one like this!) and you will be laughing all the way to your nearest b-road and back again!

even the best example might go "pop" but lets face it, you get an EVO 5-6-7-8, scooby "insert edition here", its just as likely to have engine probs if it hasnt been cared for.

get along to a local tvr car club meet, im sure you will find a tuscan owner who will take you for a spin, nothing compares to the drama and excitement of a drive in a noisy, fire spitting, growling and howling tiv!
