Pod is loose

The back of the pod (leather bit)on the tuscan sits away from the metal frame, feels like there should be something to hold it in place, is it just a case of sticking it in place or should there be some form of clip?

I have this problem as well. Having had the dash off I don't believe there is meant to be anything there. I have been racking my brains trying to come up with a solution for this, it currently has aluminium gaffer tape holding it in! It does look messy though.

I was thinking of drilling the aluminium at the top near the headlight switch and fitting a bracket to the leather housing but couldn't bring myself to drill holes in my car.... If you think of a better solution, please let me know.

I'm thinking of using my hot glue gun and to put a thin layer of glue to hold it in place. Looks like the leather is worn on the egdes so maybe how they were fitted in the first place. I'll let you know how I get on.

I took the pod surround screws out of the back, then loosened the bottom screws (one had stripped the threads so I replaced with a bigger one)realigned the bottom section and did the screws back up, then put the top in place properly and replaced the back screws letting them tap a new hole so the top piece is held in firmer.

Yet to drive it but fells more solid now.

Ah, good call. Funnily enough you have the exact same problem as me then. One of my screws in the bottom part is not properly holding because it appears to be stripped. I might give that a bit of a go then. I am at work at the mo, but if IIRC there are three in the bottom arranged in a triangle with the middle one nearest the pedal box. This is the one that has been stripped on mine, so if I mimic your solution I should try replacing this one with a bigger screw and see if it will rotate the whole (top+bottom) assembly more towards the aluminium fascia.

Failing that, my wife has got an arts+crafts glue gun, it seems to be how most of the upholstery is held together anyway ....
