109Dba !!!!! how to shut it the hell up...

Had the chance to drop in on a track day at goodwood today and ask the chaps nicely if the could tell me how loud the Tuscan is, shocked to register 109Dba at 5300rpm !!!

Am I likely to get 105 with the standard cans (got CCCs on at the mo) or are there some little "shut the hell up" silencer plugs I can jam in the back of the cans?

does anyone know what it would have been at about 4,000 revs. Do Tuscans get asked to rev it higher, mine only revs to 5500 to start with.

I went to Bedford in March in my 4.0L Tuscan with STD exhausts. The limit is 98DB @ 4000RPM from 1 Metre away.

It passed

As I drove on I heard 'em say "How the Hell did that pass" !!!!

A good day was had by all

Just for comparison my previous Tuscan (S) with CCC was measured at a slightly loud 115DB .Needless to say I wasn't taking that on the track at the time !!!!

David, I have to say I'm shocked it's only 109db...I know the car well as I'm good mates with Marcus (Toobin).

Dont tell him Im going to track it, I promised I was going to look after it!

Im going to try the standard cans the next time its dry enough for me to get on hands and knees!

I got it to 127db at the last BNG, I have since had it decatted
