lcd warnings

As a new tuscan owner (4 weeks) i have had 2 warnings on the lcd display. The first was warning 0 volts which my dealer told me to hold the button to reset (which worked). After a short drive today another warning came up warning efi fault. I cannot find any reference to these warnings in the owners handbook, is the last one anything serious, and does anyone have a list and possible consequencies of any others i might encounter.
Apart from these minor problems what a great 4 weeks learning to tame the beast.

A - Speedo not activating zero switch/switch failed/open circuit
B - Speedo not releasing zero switch/switch failed/short to earth
C - Water not activating zero switch/switch failed/open circuit
D - Water not releasing zero switch/switch failed/short to earth
E - Fuel not activating zero switch/switch failed/open circuit
F - Fuel not releasing zero switch/switch failed/short to earth
G - Water temperature sensor input open circuit
H - Air temperature sensor input open circui
I - Oil temperature sensor input open circuit
J - Oil presure sensor input open circuit
K - Fuel level sensor input open circuit
L - Erratic road speed signal input
M
N
O - No communication between analogue and control up

I've had the EFI warning come up, consulted my dealer, and apparently, this can come up if you've overdone it a bit with the hose when washing the car. I understand that the water runs off under the bonnet at exactly the place that a sensor or somthing is positioned. As soon as this dries out, the fault warning disapears ( well it does on mine anyway ).

Have exactly the same on mine at the moment, 0 volt warning then EFI Warning which contrary to opinion has not disappeared. Car is due in on thursday to be put on the laptop so I'll have some more info on Friday as to what it is/was.

How old is your car ? On the earliest cars there was a fault that could only be corrected by setting the correct time!

mines a Jan 2001 model and I believe may still be on the original pod software. Having said that I've set the correct time on it cos it comes up with question marks but this doesn't solve any problems.

Mine was back at the dealer a couple of weeks ago & I had a chat with them about the different lcd messages I'd been seeing. Mainly just Diag Mode B and another lettered one.

They explained that these do happen & as long as you can clear it with the button and it doesn't keep returning then it's not a problem.

The EFI Warning they stressed was a different matter and implied that the engine management was throwing up errors. This was popping up occasionally on mine, but since they had a tinker with it on the laptop it's stopped. Based on their words, I'd advise speaking to your dealer before dismissing an EFI Warning.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
Mine has now been fixed via a phone call to my dealer (Mike at H.L.Gorner). He arranged a trip to the factory that day, and the problem was sorted within 30 mins (thanks Heath). Apparently it is usually caused by water penetration although i also had the zero volts warning twice as someone else had.
Back to the open roads now !!

mine too - took it to Hexham yesterday who said the same thing, moisture on the sensors. Regarding the 0 volt error they mentioned that there may be an earth wire that is loose causing that warning which they'll check for at the next service. Happy motoring is here again....
