Got the Tuscan back

Sometimes when I trawl through the postings on the site, particularily the Tuscan and Speed six threads I get quite depressed with stories of woe and expense related to our cars and our engines (if you are a speed six owner).
Well it might be a bit pointless but here I go particularily for those nervous types who ask the should I , shouldn't I question about buying a Tuscan.
My car has been with the TVR service centre in Harrogate for about two and half weeks having new seals fitted (an engine out job) and I began to get cold turky/ withdrawl symptons, walked into the empty garage and mild sweat begins to appear,saw a very nice t350 while driving the diesel Renault (diesel )scenic and wondered why the guy looked at me when I was waving at him as though I was completely mad.
Yesterday was the day I got my car back, all spick and span new seals 'serviced and generally checked over. The sun was out so I took the roof off, went for a drive in the Yorkshire dales, lost myself for two hours, couldn't stop smiling, couldn't stop grinning, the drive, the sound was awesome just a perfect evening, me and the car lost for a few hours.
If anyone is thinking of buying a Tuscan do, the moments like that are worth all the worrying the questions you ask yourself. Walked in the garage this morning took the cover off the car and smiled again.

I'm currently experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms as I live and work in Ireland but keep the car stored in England for the time being. I've no plans to bring it out here this year due to lack of suitable parking space. My daily wheels are the wife's polo. At least it's a 1.6 - woo hoo!
So right now I'm living off the memories of the few drives I get to have when I go home for the weekend. The good thing about a tuscan compared to most other cars I've owned is that the drives are so memorable they are etched in the mind and I can recall them with amazing clarity. I don't have to be going anywhere special but the roof off adds another dimension I never had with the Sagaris.
Even my porsche owning brother was moaning about the total domination of german cars on british roads. It really is getting boring out there. And now the tiny fly in the ointment that was TVR has gone, it's only going to get worse. They can scoff all they want in their uber-reliable, low depreciating euroboxes, my car is an inspiration to look at, to drive and to own. It may not be the most efficient a to b machine but for the bit in between a and b, there's nothing finer.

Well that's the even better news; all covered under warranty bar the oil 65 Li of Mobil 1 , a few clips and mounts which was just over £100.00 in total, made me feel good about laying out the extra for the warranty when I bought the car....

Hey there, read you post and just had to laugh.. I know exactly what you mean..
I bought a Tuscan S 2 about 6 weeks ago, absolutely love the thing. For the last 2 weeks it was in the garage getting the air con sorted, the garage really struggled as they were not a TVR dealer (my nearest is 250miles away). Didnt know how the thing was wired so spent an age on troubleshooting.
I have advertised the car for sale. Not for this reason but because I dont have a garage. However I got the car back and done the same, just got lost for a while driving. My heads telling me to sell the car but my hearts telling me 'dont be stupid' we need to keep it..! Nothing is like it.. I've parked next to 911 turbos before and retuned to the car to see people looking at it and completely ignoring the 911.
These put a smile on your face like no other.. live for the moment I say.
