guys,

having purchased the aforementioned tuscan from james agger, i am led to believe this car has quite a bit of history. i would be very grateful for any feedback, i do know that it has been a few colours but i'd be interested to find out what else had been tried out so that i can build a porfolio for it.

thanks,

curtis

Well its been in loads of magazines for a start. If you get yourself the TVR performance portfolio 2000 - 2005 you will find it in there too.

The side indicator repeaters are in a different position to any other Tuscan and I know it was black at one point.

Thats all I know.

Tuscan ‘T462 ACK’ appears in some official photos when the car was launched. Autocar magazine ran an article in April 2000 that has a big photo of ‘T462 ACK’. This article is reprinted in the TVR Performance Portfolio 2000-2005 book. Not sure when the picture was taken. The photo also appears in the Dutch brochure for TVR (It may be in the UK one as well). In the Dutch brochure the picture has been reversed to make it look LHD and the number plate ‘photoshopped’ with a TVR logo. Pic from Dutch brochure below:

The car at that time appears to be black(ish) and has 16’ alloys. Strangely the side indicators are over the wheel arches and not in front of the doors. It also has something very odd happening to its wipers!

It also appeared at the 1999 Lord Mayor's show in London. Now silver and indicators moved. Pics below;

Don't know much then until 2006. Picture below of the car at Blackpool that year. Full Tuscan S body, white front indicators, oval front TVR badge and 18" spiders.

The last picture was taken this summer of the car. Now with black spiders(ex-T350) and white side indicators.

thanks guys,

i will check the portfolio mags. the photos that ykb has sent are the ones that i managed to get from james agger. i am surprised no one else seems to know what has happened in the intervening years from these early photos until '06. there must be someone who has worked on the engine surely!? it would just be nice to compile a history.

No problem. I'm sorry I don't have any more info. James gave you the early pictures because I gave them to him. The Lord Mayor's parade pictures are out of Sprint Jan 2000. James took the 2006 picture when he picked up the car from TVR Eng in August 2006. I took the last picture this year. I have some other pictures but they're all from this year as the car is now.

I hope some of the ex-Factory people will come along and fill in the missing history for you.
