hi, a mate has asked me to fit a cd/dvd/screen head unit in his tus. he was telling me that some1 quoted him 2.5 to 9 hours to do this and that they said it would need its own supply from the battery. nowing little about tvr's i find this hard to believe. the head unit is a alpine and exspept for the head unit the rest is all std.

thanks

Mine, is ok but i think some are a mess of wires, you might want to wip the old one out and have a look.

If he's getting an amp installed at the same time, then a direct connection to the battery makes sense, but not just for a head unit upgrade.

I know some DVD/screen/sat nav units have another box of tricks that needs tucking away somewhere (specifically I've seen a Pioneer model like this). What unit are you looking at?

I have fittd one in the Cerbera, and it was very easy to fit, everything is plug in and away you go, the biggest problem was to get the very thick bunch of wires routed to the separate control box.
