I've got a Tuscan 2 Convertible which I've had for about 12 months.

After I'd had the car for a couple of months, I noticed that the Air Con didn't seem to be working very well - if at all.

I took it into my local dealer who told me that the pod didn't recognise that AC was fitted and was therefore not telling it to work. They took the pod out and sent it up to Blackpool (this was December last year) to get the software updated and then told me it had been fixed.

It was the summer before I really began to notice that the AC still didn't seem to be working. I have just taken the car in for a service and so I asked the specialist to have another look at it. They tell me that the software still isn't working with the AC and, having spoken to a few other dealers, they don't believe there is currently a fix.

Any ideas? Any other Tusc Vert owners having the same problem?

As far as I know, and i think i would have heard the constant ranting , our Tuscan convert's
air con has worked perfectly. We have had her 18 months and loved every minute.bounce

I had a similar problem last year, when they sent the part to Blackpool last Autumn, it came back the first time having not been rectified - they had to send it back again!

I don't know who would fix it now.

Liz - is it working properly now?

If it is, that would seem to suggest that I need the software put on again. If some people's are working, there must be a version that works.

I wonder if TVR Power now hold the software etc

yes it's fine now. I had a problem with an irregular clicking noise when I put the a/c on which felt like a belt slipping somewhere. that's now been sorted and it seems to be fine.

I found the clicking noise was because my engine revs idle was set to low...with idle set at 900 rpm it can stand the additional load of air con being switched on, without the air con switching on and off.
