BUYING A TUSCAN

hi i am after buying a tuscan about a 2001-2002
could somebody please tell me if i should go for one that has done about 10000miles with no engine rebuild or one that has done quite a lot more but has had the rebuid done as people say the tuscan needs it.i am going in blind as i do not know a lot about them so so if someone could give me some advise it would be much appriciated

hi mate,think mileage not realy that big an issue,alot of cars of that age would as you suggest,had some engine work carried ouit on it,think the real issues start with cars that have been abused and not serviced regulary,my oppinion go drive a few,steer clear of ones which are smoky etc.if you buy from a dealer take out a good extended warranty ,this should give you peace of mind,think alot to be said for warming them up well before driving them hard ,if buying private a good car should jump out at you.it quite easy to spot a dog,try get it on a ramp if poss,i know at 6 or seven years old you would expect it to be in good fettle underneath ,but with the body being fibre glass,and no body corrosion to worry about ,alot of people over look the chassis and just keep body work looking good,buy one with poor chassis and they soon become a money pit.happy hunting alot of nice cars out their,if you dont wish to encounter high running cost ,look at griffs an d chims as an alternative,
