Fan help tuscan

Hi got the car on the ramps and thought it would be a easy fix (never)

the drivers side fans in on all the time
just happened kinda thing

what i have done so far

changed the relays under the dash ie 1 in 2 2 in 1 to see if faulty realy
the n/s fan works fine on and off at temp as normal

relays not faulty

took air box off and disconnect both temp sensors turn on and still the fan is on

im in cornwall so a bit of a pain to ask for help down here as there is no one

any suggestion what to do next car on the ramps for a few days so can try a few things

If you disconnect the ECU water temp sensor both fans will come on by default.

If the relays are OK I would suspect the temperature sensor.

any othertest i can do is there a meter reading test for the sensors ?

woudl a sensor just go like that

I would think you would get some sort of resistance reading from the sensor although I don't know what this would equate to. The only way to see the reading from the water temp sensor to the ECU is to connect it to a laptop to the ECU and run the diagnostic software.

okay thanks i know where to get the software but where do i get a lead for the ecu so i test the sensors please

Is it not a possible faulty trinary switch if the fans on all the time? available on clevor trevor

just unplug, if fan stops its fecked. (Can be corroded on connections)

If it's the same lead that the Cerbera uses to the ecu, then I have one sat right here in front of me!

Hello Jason.
Have you sorted the wind sock of a car or do you want to borrow my ECU connection?
Swimming pool has been a great hit with the local kids (Arm bands included in the admission)
Problem sorted now. Just waiting for the rubber seal that was worn.
