What's everyones recomendation on service interval .. 12 monthly, or by mileage ? Got my Tuscan last January, it was serviced then when it had about 8,500 miles on the clock. It's now done 10,500 miles. Should I get it serviced now, or wait until it's closer to the 12,000 mark (in the summer) ?

Also, it's a 51 Mk 1 Tuscan with no rebuild. Is there anything that the garage should look at when it's in for its service to see what state the engine is in, and any amendments/replacements to the engine to try and prevent a rebuild (naturally it's always warmed up well, gently ran to get it up to optimal temp :-)

I'd strongly recommend 6000 miles OR 12 months, whichever is the sooner of the two, since this is what TVR themselves recommend. Buyers will be very sensitive to unexplained gaps in the service history, and given the sensitivity of the market, you don't want to give people any excuses when you come to sell!

The only reason I can see for extending the interval beyond 12 months would be when the car is laid up for the winter, and has done less than 6000 miles. In that situation you'd expect some longer gaps with a service in the spring.
