Heater fan packed up

Drove through a big puddle on Saturday morning (not really deep and slowly), the heater fan packed up !

I have checked the fuse, which seems to be ok, and there is still heat coming through the vents when I am driving, but not forced by the fan.

Any ideas where I could look next before ringing Power and incuring some labour charges ?

is the fan working on cold air? Can you turn it onto cold or is it hot air all the time? There is a fan motor that sits under the outer big black pipe at the base of passenger front windscreen. There could be a fault with this but you generally get a bit of noise before it goes.

Check the connections on the heater control box, which is above the passenger footwell, probably held in by some velcro.

The fan does not working at all. There is hot air being pushed through naturally which can be regulated by the heat button.

I'll check the connection in the passenger footwell. Thanks.
